Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable General Duty Assistant (GDA) to provide essential patient care and support in homecare settings. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring overall comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding
- Support mobility, including transferring and positioning patients safely
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the patient’s surroundings
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or family
- Assist with basic health monitoring (temperature, pulse, etc.)
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Certification as a General Duty Assistant (GDA) or relevant healthcare training
- Prior experience in hospital or homecare settings preferred
- Basic understanding of patient care and hygiene practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and responsible attitude
- Ability to work flexible shifts and travel within the city
